Question Nitto Trail Grappler or Nitto Terra Grapplers, who's had em both?

Hey all, Im looking at getting new tires by Monday im stuck between the two, I don't do much off-roading at all mostly highway so I had thought for sure the terra grapplers, but I was at the mall yesterday and I saw a truck on trail grapplers and they look awesome. Anyone had em both that can tell me the difference in ride comfort and how much more noisy they are than the terras? Any other tire that you might recommed that looks beefy but is quiet?

Thanks!

The Trails just came out in Sept 09 so I doubt you're gonna find too many, if any, that have had both. I've got the Trails and they are great performers off road mud or trail. I've had tons of compliments. However, they're quite a bit louder than a street tire, and a louder than any AT I've heard/used.

If you don't think you'll get use of the more aggressive tread go for the Terras. They perform really well too from what I've had friends, and clients, tell me.

I'll keep my eye on this thread, I'm also interested in hearing reviews on both.

Yeah I was thinking I would probably end up with the Terras, I do a lot of highway driving maybe the loudness of the Trails would get annoying

It's the AT of choice at the local shop. The directional tread ups th mud performance compared to other ATs. The guys who work use them personally when they buy ATs.

I have the new trail grapplers and LOVE them! i have owned BFGs, MTRS, MUdd grapplers, KENDAs, and Terrible toyos and these new nittos are by far the best tire i have had on a truck. In the wet they have Very good traction, in the snow i was pulling people out of the ditch in 2wd, and they are relatively quiet for a mud/trail tire. I have never had the same tire two sets in a row and when these wear out i will be buying them again!
