Default WILL 35 Inch tires fit ram 1500

Hello again

I am removing my stock 20 inch and thinking about 17 inch rims with 35 inch tires perhaps a set of Mickey Thompson MTs will there be any issues with rubbing or anything. I also have a 2.5 inch leveling kit.

Those are some sweet tires that you will be putting on! If you are getting some aftermarket wheels with a negative offset it will help those big tires fit. 35" tires will fit under there but it will be pretty tight. That negative offset will pop the tires away from the truck which will make them fit more comfortable. If you want I suggest getting a 1-1.5" block in the rear to lift the rear a touch. This will make the truck look much better and also give you some more room. I would do that since the wheel wells will look really full, giving that extra lift in the rear wil make it look cleaner.

Blocks are not expensive and they will make you happy I think! This will eliminate any chance of rubbing when combining with the rims. So it would probably be worth it in my opinion.

I have the 2" level and a 2" block in my truck with 33". I know I can fit 35" under with no problems.

Some of the guys on here will say that the 35" will fit stock. The only thing with that is it looks a little too much I think. At the very least have a level kit. Rubbing is a bitch so you would not want any of that haha. As long as you get rims with a negative offset you should be ok!! The block idea was for a 100% satisfaction guarantee! haha

Yes they will fit, but the width will rub at FULL left turn just a bit, nothing too bad. Wheel spacers will fix it. I have 35x12.5x20 Mickey Thompson Baja ATZ on my 2wd 2005 Ram. No leveling kit or lift, stock height and they fit. But, like I said they will rub at full left lock, just because of the width. Hope all goes well, post pics!

BEST option is 2 inch leveling kit with airbags in the rear (if you still wanna haul stuff) then springs in the rear for hauling than last option should be blocks. Springs are close to the same price as blocks but with added benifits. i also just rid myself of my 20" and got 17" rims with 35 inch mickey thompsons. enjoy

My 05 got the 2.5" level in the front, Bags in the rear, and Toyo 35X12.5R17EEs...
Was great. No rub at all. Without the leveling kit, little touch at full lock... 33s would have been perfect with stock setup...
