I'm using the same Oracle SMD LED strips I used for the interior and behind the grille. I can cut them to whatever length I want and just solder the wires onto them. Bought another distribution block and will be running it off of the same relay I used for the interiors, so all my LEDs will come on when the dome light is activated... like when I unlock my doors with my remote Never have trouble finding my truck at night

Pics are coming guys. have patience, it takes a while for photobucket to upload 21 pics

And installment #1 *apparently this got moved into my engine forum... but not everything had to do with the engine... mostly cosmetic mods *

Had a very busy day with having to get the gf's caliber in to get new brakes since hers were squealing like a banshee... new set of thermo quiets and done Had to drive to Airdrie twice for quick work stuff, resident of my condo building decided the lobby was a great place to have an epileptic attack as I was walking through... took care of him until paramedics arrived... and worked on my truck at some point through all that

Also got a new EGR valve done while I had the fan shroud out of the way... makes it SO much easier as there's tons of room.

Completed:
Flex-a-lite 180# electric fan... this didn't take a long time for me to install, what took the time was getting the fan to kick on at a certain temperature. The worst thing was trying to get the clutch fan off, but a large crescent wrench and a pry bar fixed that Here's the process...

Before

remember what I said about a pry bar and a wrench

fan and shroud out of the way

e-fan roughed into place... notice very long brackets

The Moe's Performance Fan Shroud delete kit - a couple of jegs reservoirs powdercoated and tapped for an overflow tank, and the other for the washer fluid. Had to re-seal the rubber grommets in the washerfluid tank, but that was the least of my worries. The top inlet is only 1/4" so I had to plumb a temporary fitting so I could fill them I'm gonna let him know to make them bigger.... that was just ridiculous.

Overflow tank now on the driverside where the old shroud mounted

Washer fluid reservoir mounted on passenger side where old shroud mounted *note* my plumbed in fitting to actually add fluid

And finally the finished e-fan and delete kit - no more long brackets thanks to a grinder

Installment #2

Billet Technology pieces

The visor covers are supposed to cover up the airbag stickers... but I redid my headliner so i just centered them mounted them where I wanted them to go. I am planning on getting some black screws instead of the plated ones they came with

Headlight cover... black but has a nice machined ring around it.

A/C knob covers... a little bland I think, but should look good when I do the sunburst orange double-DIN center bezel.

Ok... I just HAD to have these... the gf just shook her head

And the final look all done

Now, tomorrow will be the caliper covers, 180 deg T-stat, blacking out the tail pipes, and then dropping the truck off at the shop in the afternoon for wednesday's work (2/4 drop, rotors & pads, window tint, and black billet fuel door).

And I don't know if it counds as a mod... but I got one for my head

Oh Yah! Love to see mods in progress.

Where did you get the 'Eject' inserts?

And the brackets for the fan? I'm speechless....well dumbfounded...
I wonder what the manufacturer had in mind? Don't most electric fans mount just mm from the rad? What, did they make them universal to fit a 12" thick rad? Nice see that you were able to correct their over enthusiastic length...looks great!

Looks great so far. I like that visor cover... I would love to make a decal of that. Pretty cool.

Sorry dros, I tossed the box already and can't find a # on the fan housing.

The 'eject' inserts are Billet Technology's lighter delete inserts, cheap, and a few good image options. I think they'd look better with a machined ring but I still like 'em :smileup
And I dunno about the mounts as well, there's a rubber gasket that mounts between the rad and fan housing that gets compressed about 3/4, but I couldn't believe the crazy long brackets either
