Question Difference between the 4.7's

I tried to search for previous conversations on this but was unsuccessful. SO here is my question. What is the primary difference between the Gen3 4.7 and the new 4.7. I am asking because I noticed the horsepower ratings show a fairly large difference. Of course I realize that there are probably more than one factor contributing to this, but I'm just curious.

The biggest difference I'm aware of offhand is the cylinder heads being redesigned. The newer heads Utilize two plugs per cylinder.

I know that's how it is in the 05+ hemi cars. There is 2 plugs per cylinder.

All the 5.7 and 6.1 Hemi's have 2 plugs per cylinder dating back to their release.

True but the mode of operation isn't going to increase the HP rating.

I read somewhere (don't remember where) that the HP increase comes largely from redesigned cams and better tuning of the ECU along with changes in the cylinder heads. Not sure if that's the end all answer though.
