Exclamation Gas Pedal loose/feel all bumps???

Hello - anyone that can help I would be grateful.

I noticed that the gas pedal in my 2010 Sport has a loose/vibration/feel all bumps while driving. This not while accelerating but rather if you are cruising and just keeping pace you can feel every bump in the pedal. 3-5 of the test drives I did have it - anyone else seeing this? Should I see if I can return the truck since it is 4 days old, is it a known issue that is an easy fix? If anyone else has seen this please chime in. I am a bit freaked out by it.

Only 4 days . . . . . . . . take it back to the dealer and have them FIX IT! Just my thought.

yikes, since 3-5 test drives had it not sure what to do. I would not think that it would be a normal thing.

Some times fixed or repaired situations are then better because quality control is then targeted at the broken part and the effects rather than a QC overview to say everything looks good so - sell it and move on attitude. Now on the other hand if you have continuous problems then they need to step up to the plate and replace the vehicle or make it right. Vehicles coming out of factories and off assembly lines are not always perfect just because they are new. Give your dealership a chance first, plus you can establish a rapport with them that you expect to get the quality you paid for without, being like me and that is considered overbearing at dealerships. Good luck.

I have my sport for about 7 months now and haven't experienced that problem. I was actually surpised how smooth and tight everything was for a pick up truck. Sorry to hear about your problem. I hope you get it fixed one way or the other.

okay, so I see even in this thread the issue is inconsistent, some have it, some dont. Given that I called the dealership and they said bring it and they will look at it ASAP so lets see what happens.

I have to wonder about something that i read once

could it be that the exhaust is hitting the frame?? you said that you feel it mostly at the bumps.
I read that one member had the same feel in the pedal, it turned out that there is a weighted thing that Dodge has on some vehicle that attaches to the exhaust near the frame, the FEEL went away when this was installed
