New to this so if it has been discussed already I apologize I was wondering if the airaid jr might be the better kit instead of a cai seems like there's alot of mixed feelings about a cai no matter what the brand but I don't see how it can do anything but help any info would b great I just don't wanna spend 300 plus to only hurt my performance

Not familiar with that kit but any kit that brings in more air or colder air is a good thing to do.

I do not know what you mean by hurting your performance by spending $300. If you get a CAI you will definitely get a gain in performance and MPGs. You will also get a better sounding motor since you will hear the CAI sucking in air.

If you are worried about it not doing its job go with the Mopar or Volant CAI or the 2010 Ram

In the past I've personally experienced where installing a cai hurt my performance this was in my 350z with the hr engine so since then I've been really cautios when purchasing cai people tend to think that because the manufacturer claims it gains it actually produces gains when in reallity it could hurt performance is there anyone with actual dyno proven gains rwhp after installing a cai not the butt dyno

I never heard of a CAI hurting performance. I know when I put mine on I felt it so I am thinking it did not hurt my performance. Everyone else I know that has one has noticed a diff on various vehicles.

I'll see if I can't find my dyno sheet when I put a CAI on my Chrysler HEMI.

Well my 350z had dual throttle bodies so the problem that particular vehicle was having was that when u install a cai it became too much air in which in turn was hurtin performance it was proven with dyno charts adding just k&n drop ins gained hp and this was also proven with dyno sheets so that's why I was thinkn the airaid jr would prove to b the better choice

Does that mean the 2010 doesn't need a CAI? And of course I would assume(theres that word that can get me in trouble<G>) it would perform better with a K&N filter in the stock box.
