Default Interior squeak, cupholder area

Hey guys, quick question for those who have a 2009/2010 Ram. Do you guys have a brutal squeak from the whole plastic piece that encompasses the gear shift/cupholders? This thing is so sensitive that it squeaks when taking corners. Everywhere else in the interior is pretty much dead silent, solid as a rock. This one spot though, it will squeak just from breathing on it, it seems. Every bump, every corner, every usage of the cupholders!

Just so you all understand I'm not totally insane and hearing something that is virtually inaudible, you can hear it over Metallica playing at volume 20, with the windows down. Not that it's that loud, it's just that type of screeching/squeaky plastic noise that can be heard over almost any ambient sound.

I don't want to be "that guy" that takes it to the dealer over an interior noise, but this thing is driving me crazy. I figured it would settle in after a few hundred KMs, but I'm up to 800 now and it hasn't improved at all. I don't even want to drive around in a spirited nature because the harder I take a corner, the more that thing squeaks. Tried searching the forum for anyone else with this, but found absolutely nothing. I can't understand how that's possible, anyone with some insight on this?

Thanks!

I have the same exact problem on my Laramie and it only has 700 miles. It seems that they could not have used a cheaper material on the console if they tried. I'm going to make sure they look at it on my first service.

Why wait.... You paid big $ for a NEW Top End truck! Get it in ASAP.
This will help set a precedence. My dealer KNOWS that if there is anything that is not up to par with my new vehicle (And they have sold me a few), that I will be 'Johnny on the Spot' to have it taken care of. They also know that I will respect the fact that I may have to wait a day or 2 for a non-critical item, as I am not their only customer. I have developed an excellent relationship with my Dodge dealer. So good, that I can talk mods with them, any kind of mod (Tuners included), and they are willing to work with me to ensure that I don't do anything that will actually affect the warranty.

Don't wait, let them know you mean business, but also show them courtesy and respect. If they blow you off, slow start replacing the courtesy and respect with demands and inflexibility.

Yeah i got the squeek too. I tried pushing down the the whole console top, and it would be good for a lil while, until it returns. Kind of drives me nuts.

Interesting that some have it and some don't... did some of us just get cheaper plastics? I can't imagine what would be done to resolve this, unless they just forgot to put some dampening tape in there at the factory...
