Okay, I know this is kind of a stupid question, but does anyone have a picture of what the TPS looks like? I don't wanna screwin up something that I shouldn't have. lol

Did mine finally. Got it from 0.55, to 0.62. Gonna have to grind or drill to get it any higher. Followed up with a road trip, got a high of 16.8mpg on the second tank. Most averaged around 15.5.

Okay, I just tried this. It took me forever to get my grandpas voltmeter to even work. Once it did, I was reading at .56 volts. I went to loosen the screws and realized something. How do you turn the freakin thing to gain voltage??

Awesome write up! I'm going to try this tomorrow and see how it does. Here's another idea for everyone. Take the idle air control valve off and clean the plunger (very carefully)! I did this on my old 5.2L jeep and it made quite a difference in idle. Just another maintenance idea.

For anybody else that was wondering. This is the TPS. I checked mine and the previous owner had already adjusted it.

I hate to be the party pooper...and I don't want dissuade anyone form trying this because it's kind of a freebie...but...
I did this mod many, many years ago on my truck when I replaced the TPS. I still check the voltage on an irregular basis.
This mod did nothing for me. At least longterm it hasn't. There may be paremeters within the ECM of different years of trucks that cause this, but I know from the various forums I inhabit I 'm not the only person who hasn't noticed any gain.
I'm not trying to be sour grapes, but I've yet to find many folks who turned thier docile Ram into a tire smoking monster with this mod.
Still, if you've got some time to kill and the right drill bit...

I added some rep to ya Airborne for the writeup.
