well that explains where the motor plates came from. i really want the 67 dart, but have not recieved a call back on it. so we will see what i end up with. for your detonation call up stu at inertia motorsports and talk with him. he is a great guy. he has been modding the hemi since its relise in 03. to help you could look at upgrading the coil packs to the 06+ set up you will need the valve covers and coil packs as well as the plugs. they seem to be a better setup for boosted aplications. eather that or look at going back to the long wires. it might help you out.

intalking with stu the timing on the hemi gets picky. i dont remember the exact numbers he used, but it was something like the lower RPM wanted about 25 degrees then it gets up in the 30 range then at the really high rpm's it likes to come down to the upper 20's. he has built more motors than i care to count. some boosted and some not. he also tunes the factory PCM's with the diablo so im sure he could tell yo a thinkg of 2 about the timing curves.

low 30s seems pretty steep for a boosted motor w/out something to cool things down (the meth/water should help). A decent fast burn head would like that kind of timing naturally aspirated.

I'm an old school all motor type of guy, but what kind of boost are you seeing out of the 6-71?

I am leaving the line at 15lbs at 5900 rpm,hitting 20 psi when I shift at 7000,I am used to running my old na 440,so this is all new to me also,about 1.5 years now,I came to the timing by backing down timing until it started to drop the stall speed,other than that the only help I have had is from freinds running old school(392,426)blower motors,they all run 35-40 degrees,because of the chambers I figure this engine will take less.I will probably start at 30 and test from there with the water/meth.

I tried the water injection3 weeks ago in ashcroft bc,It helped but I did not get the results I had hoped for,sat aug 7, I switched from gas to alky,in port alberni bc I ran 8.84 at 149.85 mph!!!I am now an alky!!!
