This was in completely stock trim with about half a tank of gas. Stock tire pressure and everything. Just running the canned tuned. Guess it wasn't too bad.

Dropping street radial tire pressure that much probably isn't going to gain you much. You just want to make sure you've got a flat contact patch and that's the pressure you should be running all the time anyway. Stock radial isn't going to have much sidewall flex.

You'll get better gains in the 60 by learning to pedal it out of the hole if you're getting a lot of spin. I've scored 1.9 60's on a 275/60/15 street radial w/ a 5spd and 4.56 gears in a car that would easily melt the tires through two gears.

Now....a drag radial is a different story...

Just depends on what you were running to begin with. I'm always big on keeping the contact patch flat (check on dusty conditions, etc) so it may be why I never saw gains.

i beleive a 3.55 crew cab would be a mid 15 second truck, one of those proffesional review magazines tested a crew cab and it ran a 15.6 stock

I don't stall up at launch as tq management will try and pull power...but, with that said (and because i have a tq verter), sometimes i stall to around 2k right as the lights start comin down. It's been awhile so i have to remember what I use to do ...I'm goin this sunday so already I'm gettin butterflies..

SUNDAY!! race DAY!! good luck bro..
come to think of it when I finally cracked the 13s, I was only revving at about 1500 rpms and walked it out and had a 1.996 60'.. guess Ill play with tire pressure next time to launch it a little harder..I see you did some head work and read somewhere you raised your rev limit. On gen 4 motors do you think I can raise the rev limit a bit? via diablo, motor is stock..I believe its shifting stock at 5600 rpms
by the way in the performance gen 4 threads a new member is asking about doing a power setup arrington head/cam swap..maybe you can help a brother out..Im curious too

hp peak is supposed to be 5600. If that's the case, shift point should be about 6100-6200. High side of that range for the 1-2 I'd wager and maybe closer to 6k for the 2-3.
