Default Rocker panel protection

Hey guys. I'm not a fan of mudflaps, so I'm wondering how those of you who don't have flaps go about protecting your rocker panels from getting road rash? Or do you just leave it bare?

I got a trim shop to apply some 3M clear protection film inside the wheel wells, on the rocker panels, inside the front doors on the kick plate, and above the tailgate handle.
I've had this done on my last 3 trucks....works so good, that I took my truck to the trim shop immediately after picking it up. Was hard to wait the extra day to drive it, but well worth it. Cost me $300.
