Default factory exhaust question tough question

ok i was told by a guy i talk to that on some years on the rams they would offer a flowmaster muffler from the factory is this true, i have a 2007 5.7L 1500. when we bought the truck it already had the flowmaster on it, so does anyone know the answer if this is true or false?

The stock muffler on my 2007 SLT was NOT a flowmaster.

The MOPAR accessory catback system for the trucks of that year was a Borla I believe.

So, I'd say this was not true.

Possibly as a dealer option...I'd be surprised (pleasant suprise) if they offered this as a factory option...

The factory option/MOPAR accessory dealer installed system is a Borla if I remember right.

if you like the sound of a flowmaster by all means runem..if you want a muffler that makes our trucks perform better...don't.

i might after a few years switch up the muffler, i do want to re route the exhaust running out before the rear tire, basically side exhaust and with that prob a different muffler, but i do like the flowmaster the way it sounds on the truck right now

i use to run side exit with flows, I loved the look and i did love the sound..over time tho it was just too loud to handle in the cab...i decided to try a magnaflow dumped and it turned out very quiet..an performed so much better.. flows do sound good at idle and part throttle..but at wot the sound just doesn't sound right while the mag does sound distinct and muscular sounding at wot..

flows..

magnaflows..
