Default High Pitch Noise around 1500-2000 RPM

Hello,
Im new to this thread but I have a problem with my 2008 4.7L Ram I've been trying to figure out for a while now. I installed an aftermarket (Bully) short ram intake and ever since I have a loud high pitch noise around 1500-2000 RPM, which I wouldn't mind but it's constant when I'm driving on the highway. I thought it was originally the intake, but took it off completely and tried driving with straight air into the throttle and it was still there. Any suggestions?
Thanks
Tommy

What kind of noise? Whistling, whining, squealing?

It's a high pitch whistling noise. I can tell it's from air getting into or around somewhere to cause it. I initially thought the intake was making it, but I took the intake off and it was still there. And if I keep my foot just right on the throttle, it's constant around those certain RPM's.

No I haven't. I'll probably check that out and hope it'll be a quick fix. Thank you.

its usually the most obvious thing thats the cause. I would say if it literally started after the CAI install, then thats the problem. Have you swapped back to stock to see if it still has the problem ?

usually the install of an aftermarket cai will have some kind of whistle that was not there when stock.

I have a K&N in mine, makes the same noise your describing....i can hear it but my dad can't...so its not a vacuum leak, i would say if you want to rule it out being the CAI then put your stock back on a see if it still there!

Yes remerson i noticed that too! Not a good idea in the first place!!!! and thats why i mentioned to install the stock intake before thinking it wasn't the CAI
