Question low beam hid's pass inspection???

i had a buddy of mine today tell me that my truck wouldnt pass inspection cuz i only have a low beam hid kit installed and have no high beam. my reply was why do you need high beams with hid's?? any one know anything about this, now i do understand different states have different polices, and different countries ( i.e. canada ), just wondering if any one knows anything about this crap. i did a quick searcch on inspection rules and came up with nothing. thanks in advance

You are going to need the high beam function in order to pass. Without it you are "missing a safety feature." I know that high beams may be rarely used but it is required.

So here is my 2 cents, in the future get hi/lo bulbs and then in the mean time, put the stock bulbs back in.

Ya i have to agree with the above post!! usually if its factory equipped then you need it!
When you first got the HID's why did you not get the direct replacement for your bulb type? it would have been the high low set up!!
