Default Stereo Question

Ok I have a 2010 Laramie with the radio w/Uconnect. It does not have the camera or GPS. Last week I ran to the store and had no sound. I tried turning it off and on volume up and down. Nothing. After getting back into the truck to come home it worked fine. Today I pulled my truck out to wash it and when I went to put it back into the gararge it said radio off in the dash. I looked at the radio and it was off. I had not turned it off. I tried to turn it back on and nothing. Turned the key off for a couple of seconds and back on and it turned on. My question is anyone else having issues? Is there any TSB's? Thanks in advance for any help. Just want to have some amo before I call the dealer.

No TSB's. Looks like you may be shooting blanks.

in response to your problem, i have had this happen with my 09 many times. All of the sudden you start the truck, radio is off and will do nothing but eject or load a disk but not turn on. I keep a 10mm wrench in my truck to disconnect the battery and reconnect it after and everything works fine....untill the next time it happens. I have it happen every few months. I have the nav and gps. By the way, the dealer knows nothing about this problem.

Thanks for the response. I will have it in soon and get it at least on my history.

The 'Ol 10mm repair!!!

Since 2004, I have had 4 times where a truck has done....well....strange things. Like, won't crank the engine over....or it starts, but the gas pedal does nothing.....or the headlight switch turned on the wipers...not the headlights...
Each time, I called the dealership and asked for suggestions, and each time they recommended towing to them so they could diagnose the problem. However, each time, I was not in a position, time or location, that allowed for that scenario, so I did the 10mm fix. Up side, it worked each time, and the problem never came back. Down side, the 10mm fix clears all codes, so there is no way to ever find out what was causing the issue....unless it came back!
SO - I finally went out and bought a code reader so that I could at least get a code before doing the fix....and have never needed the code reader!
Well....at least it's there if I ever need it....wonder if the code reader has batteries....should check....just in case!

Is your truck still under warranty?

i had the same problem with my 10, no gps or back up cam, just u connect. Radio would turn off, no sound all kinds of wierd stuff. Took it to the dealer, they said they did know about the problem there is an update that they will load into your radio, it will work fine once they are done.

hope this helps.
