Get them to fix it! when it done if there is noticeable imperfections then maybe talk a little more about replacing parts instead of fixing it!

I agree with the two members above me. Take it back to the dealer immediately, especially before another storm has the chance to do more damage. Then it is on you.

The dealer may disclaim any responsibility and you signed a "We Owe" form which had nothing on it when doing the sale paperwork, which means they owe you nothing and it's your truck now but you can give it a shot.

Otherwise, it's gonna be on your insurance.

Take the truck back and make them get you another truck. They have to disclose any damage that is on the truck and they failed to do so. Tell them you want a new truck or you contact the District Attorney to way your options.

They sold you a damaged truck that is not worth the price you paid.

If it happened before you took delivery then definitely take it back and have them fix it. PDR is a wonderful thing - they can completely remove the dents and you'll never know they were there.

I had the exact thing happen to me. My truck came from a closed dealership and the damage wasn't disclosed to the new dealer (or to me!) They fixed the hood but left quite a few little dents on the roof. Who thinks to get into the bed and look at the roof of a new truck?! I found them washing it maybe a month later and simply called my sales manager. They jumped through their @$$ to get it fixed (free of charge) because they knew I had them by the gonads if I wanted to.

If the paint cracks later on, the damage and the repair are documented and you should be covered.
