Does anyone use a water filter/sediment catcher when washing your vehicles? We have pretty hard water here were I live and thought it may help me get a better wash. Now I've priced them on most major websites and they typically run from $120-500+ for a full cleaning water system (both soft water and seidment filters). However I was on Lowes.com and looked up water filters there and found this:
and this one WITH filter:
Now I'll have to see if the inlet will except a standard hose valve, but I'm sure I could rig something to make that part fit. My question is would it work similar to the ones specifically designed for this task like this one:
$139.99 @ AG.com
I don't see much differnce in design and I figured either of the first two would save me considerable money. Making a bracket to hold them won't be a problem but I just wanted to see what everyone here thought?
