Default Rattle in front end and shock question

Hi everyone,

I have a metallic rattle in the front end of my Ram, sounds like it's coming from the passenger side. The specific sound is like a handful of 3/8 fender washers in a small coffee can as the can is tapped onto a counter. It only makes this sound when on "washboard" roads or going over rough patches where potholes have been filled in. There's no "thunking" on accel or braking, no noise on turning, and (it seems) no noise on single light impacts. Moderate impacts feel like I've driven the truck into a wall.

The truck effectively sat for the four years prior to my purchasing it, only having about 10 miles per day put on it. (If it was driven at all.) Based on how much "communicating" the truck does, I'm pretty sure the shocks (OE, btw) are shot, and I'm concerned about the bushings in the front suspension.

I don't need top end as I don't offroad or do any heavy towing, but I am looking for a pretty good value. Anyone have any recommendations for suspension kits (bushings etc) and shocks?
