Default 5.9l ECU?

I have a '98 Ram 1500 with the 5.2l, and was told the 5.9l ECU is a great upgrade for the 5.2l... Anyone know anything about this? Advantages? Disadvantages? Thanks in advance!

I'm pretty sure you can reflash your current PCM with 5.9 software.
