Default door will not unlock manually or with fob

I can open the door from inside but it doesn't feel right. The electric locks try but fail, and i can't unlock with the key outside or the manual knob inside.

Some linkage must have jammed

I'm not sure if the Rams have this or not . But on my 2000 300M , I had problems with only the drivers door power lock . I found that inside the door , by the latch , there is a window that has a piece of tape over it . I removed the tape and had access to a screw . (?) . While activating the lock assembly , I found that that screw was loose causing the power door lock actuating rod to move and not move the latch . I power locked the door , tightened up the screw , problem fixed . I can only hope that the Ram has this window and that your fix is this easy . Let me know what you come up with . Fingers crossed for ya .

The Ram latch does not have the same thing. It is a sealed up unit the linkages hook to and there are no adjustments to be had.

Dunno why this thread didn't show up in my user control panel... I was thinking nobody responded because I didn't see it there!

I have read about this problem when searching for why my locks wouldnt activate from my drivers switch but would from everywhere else. I think the only remedy for this was to replace the actuator in the door as that is what was jamming and causing you not to be able to unlock.
