Default Are headers worth it for all season everyday driver

Just wondering I live in Michigan.. I know headers don't like to get wet or they crack and ect..

Would it be worth me getting a set of long tube or am i looking to run into more problem then i want

Thanks

While I can't speak from a Hemi Ram standpoint on headers, I have had them on several daily drivers over the years and had no trouble from them getting wet or anything like that. The bang for the buck factor is hard to beat with a set of headers.

as long as you get them coated (in and out) they should last..I've had my pacesetters on since 05 and barely show any signs of rust.

BUT if you're mod afflicted like I tend to be I wouldn't have a problem doing it... although if I did I'd(naturally) have to do heads, intake, Tbody, Swain Coating, cam, programmer, etc... see my problem?

I'm enjoying the Magnaflow catback at the moment. I'm sure I'll be into head work, a cam and headers of some sort before too long.

I'm in Alberta, and headers are very common out here on even mildly modded trucks. A good set of coated headers will last you a long time and definately give you some added power to boot.

Short is also bottom end... Long tubes youll generally have more mid-top power and shorties will produce good bottom-mid power.

If you are going to spend the money, Id go with long tubes personally. If not, just port your exhaust manifolds and save yourself a few bucks.

Go with long tube headers!! If you get them properly coated and not painted they will last! Long tube will give you the power you are looking for! Shorty headers are not as good but they will do something haha.

Go with Dynatech headers they make the best ones out there! Their kit comes with high flow cats and a Y pipe. This will be the best kit you can get. I am looking into getting it for my truck as well
