The hardwire one looks like way too much work for me, has anyone ever tried this one?

Nissan Titan owners were installing the keypad on the inside of the gas filler door.It worked great but Nissan discontinued them, don't know if they were brought back

Haven't see those before, but they are ugly. I'd be looking to hide that keypad. I like the idea of adding something like this though. There a re plenty of times I would be happy to not carry a key with me and just lock it in the truck. My friend has a Ford with this feature and loves it.

I agree they are ugly, I am hoping they just stick on your door with magnets, and you just put in on when you want to use it, otherwise keep in the glove box. I was hoping to find someone who has it, maybe I will be the guinea pig....

OK, so I'll play devils advocate here. If it is just held on by magnets you can't trust it would be there if you leave your truck. If you had to carry it with you you might as well use the key. I'm thinking of a permanent mount but somewhere inconspicuous.

I think the smaller wired panels are a better idea and likely more dependable than a wireless one. However I think I'd want to leave the drilling to a shop with insurance.
