Default Catch can install?

My Diablo sport catch can came in today with no instructions....SO can someone please make sure I got everything right.

1.The hose coming out of the engine goes into the catch can/then the exit hose from the catch can goes into the air box....basically the catch can now stands in the middle of the two...is that how it is supposed to be?

THanks

OK I got it...You take the hose from the rear of the engine that connects to the TB then you install the catch can in between those two...Perfect!

Very easy once you know what goes where....Thanks.

Now that you have it on, don't forget to empty it at each oil change.

So what's the use of the catch can? I understand that it collects oil for some reason on high performance engines. But why use it? Where would that oil go without it?

thru your tb and into your motor where it is burned possibly lowering the octane of your fuel.

From my understanding, The catch can will collect oil blown in from the engine through the PVC pipes...If you do not use a catch can to collect this oil it will be shot back into the TB and into the engine. It will then cause oil build up on the TB and in other vital parts of the engine.

That is true and then you get to clean your throttle body and improve your performance and mileage again. So why not put in the catch can and in the long run save yourself some $$$. Just my opinion.
