Default Water....But from where?

Yesterday as I was making a sharp turn I felt my right foot get soaked. I reached down and what do you know there was water all over my foot and the floor by the gas peddal. When I got home I stuck my hand under the dash that houses all the heat/radio/center dash area and there was water in there. I went to the passenger side and the floor and mat was pretty wet as well. I thought maybe thee was an issue with the ac system, but I rarely ever use the ac. Heck it has only been on for a total of 10min this year so far. I haven't left any windows open or left any drinks in the cup holder to spill/sweat either, what could this be? I still have a few months on the warranty and it is going in Monday for possible leak in the rear window(found water in my under seat storage a while back), a broken piece on one of the leaf springs(pics to come), and some window ratttle in the drivers door. Oh and before I forget my power windows and power rear slider are sporadicaly not opening or closing when pressing the buttons. I assume this may be a short somewhere? As usual thanks for the help all!!!

Your trucks not that old so I'm surprised. Does the leak smell like coolant by any chance ? It could be the heater core, check your fluid level in the RAD. Also the A/C evaps are know for holding water as the drain plug on the firewall gets plugged (That water smells musty bad). Could have been in there awhile and a sharp turn let it out. Also could be a windshield leak. It's hard to say however these are a few things to check. You want to get too the bottom of this quick as water behind the dash is never a good thing. Good luck and of course post how you make out.

Here are a few shots of the broken plastic piece on the drivers side leaf spring. You can see that the one whole side of the piece is gone already, what is that piece called by the way?

Here is pics of where the water came out from under.

Thanks man, I will check those out today. You are right that the truck is not that old, hell it only has 16500 miles on it.

I'd say you have either a windshield seal leak or possibly a missing firewall plug.

Hopefully they will find something out when I take it in. It hasn't done it since, but it is raining right now so I will check it later. Do you know what that broken piece is on the leaf spring?

I believe that's called a rebound clip. Keeps the individual leaves aligned as the spring moves in tension and rebound. Most are made of stamped metal.

Hopefully I will hear something this afternoon. Yesterday the front floor mats were totally soaked, and a chitload of water came rushing out 3 different times again. I am really thinking it came out of the vents that the air/heat comes from. I stuck my fingers in both floor vents and they were full of water. We got some very heavy rains and tornadoes Saturday night so there was plenty of blowing water.

Default Update

Well they found that the ac evaporator drain was plugged with outside debris and that was the cause of the water in the dash. They ordered another leaf spring to replace the defective one. I am pissed that they could not pull any codes or duplicate the power windows and rear slider intermittently failing to open or close. But at least it is documented for when the warranty runs out. They also could not hear the window rattle on the drivers side(for the second time) but everyone else can hear it. On another good note, they did do a leak test on my rear window and found that they need to pull it and reseal it. That part has to be done at a local trim shop, that does all the dealers aftermarket installs and repairs.
