Question Window switch issue

I have one issue with my windows switches. Sometimes they work and sometimes they dont. The master panel on the driver side door always works. But the other three work when they want too. Now i was wheeling once and pincched myself against a tree and pushed my door handle in a little bit. Is it possible that this has caused a short? Or maybe i have a bad ground? I have no idea where to start to figure this one out! Help please!

Or maybe the connect has been slightly re-arranged and not fully plugged in.

Ive checked that on the passenger front door. Unless having one partway clipped in can cause it. Ive never checked the door that hit the tree.

Yeah, if the connector is not fully seated, that would cause a circuit interruption.

If the master switch always works but the other three doen't, the problem is likley to be the lockout in the master switch itself.

I had the same problem with my 2007 f150 which I recently replaced with my Ram. First time it was the drivers switch which was replaced under warrenty and I was told it was a known problem with Ford. 2
nd switch was on passenger side and Ford would not replace free becuase warrenty had gone out 1 month prior.

sounds like a loose connection... like Randy said.. probably on the drivers' master switch.

good luck and let us know what you found
