what is the best cai?i'm lookin to buy one this week i want to get the one best known for its airflow and power boost.my truck has the superchip 3815 and flowmaster 40 series if that has anything to do with a cai's performance.

I dont have one but I've heard bfi intakes are really nice. Also heard a lot of good things about the volant intake.

Bfi an Vararam are arguably the best...but too much demand on the Bfi and no one knows how far out delivery for them are. Vararam's you can get pretty quickly... the next tier after those 2 are Volant, Aem Brute Force and others...try to find one that doesn't use oiled filters (that is so old technology and tends to foul up our tb's)

I have the Mopar CAI on my truck and I love the way it sounds and looks.
There was also about a 1mpg difference with the new intake.

AFE Stage I or II would be a good one to look at as are the Volant units.

They all pretty much do the same thing. I prefer the closed box type in order to isolate the intake air from the hot underhood engine air.

I have an airaid in my 05 and I love it! I got better gains in mpg, the truck sounds better and the transmission shifts a lot better also...not as much high revs!

umm the transmission shifts better with a intake umm i never thought it make a difference but ok
