Default What kind of idiot tries to steal an $11 antenna?

I'm crushed! I wen't out to my truck this morning and found my antenna hanging by a thread. Someone actually tried to steal it! They used a screw driver to try and pry it off. MORONS!!! It just screws on,,, What did you need the screw driver for? what do you need the antenna for? They're 11 bucks!!! Save your cans and go buy your own! LOL

Anyone have any good tricks up their sleeve to get rid of a thin but very deep scratch (caused by a screw driver ) down to the metal? I used touch up paint, but it is so deep that it is very noticeable. would like not to go through insurance if i dint have to.

Thanks,

Man, that sucks. I have a couple deep scratches myself, so I'll keep my eye on this thread.

get one of those paint pens from dodge and put light coats. Polish them with a power polisher, the ones that look like angle grinders, it should smooth it out and make it almost invisible.

i used the the mopar paint pen and filled the scratch enough times until it was level with the rest of the paint. let it dry and hit it with compound and polish. can't see it unless you know its there and look closely.

That really sucks! Like 05atlanticblue says, use the Mopar touch up pen. Lots of light coats...don't try to hurry it, let it dry between coats.

Good luck with your repair. Maybe by an antenna for $11, and leave it on the ground beside the truck........hooked up to 220volts!!

Not a bad suggestion there Brad.....Sorry to hear about that man, it really sucks. Had someone break into my old truck and same thing, didn't take anything, just made a mess. Crap like that just infuriates me....

Sorry to hear that. Looks like others have pointed good suggestions already regarding the damage.

Same thing happened to be in 2008. Won a short stubby antenna at another dodge forum GTG and it lasted a whole month before someone stole it from my old work's parking space. Been running without one since.

There are companies like Color On Parade that will come out to your location and repair this kind of damage for a pretty reasonable fee. We use them all the time at work and they do a good job. http://www.colorsonparade.com/
