Default Should I sell it keep driving?

I'm driving a 06 ram 4x4 that I bought new. It was a leftover, nearly two years old and had never been bought. I got a good deal on it. Anyways, I've got almost 100k miles on it now and havent had any problems whatsoever other than the front end tends to go out of alignment .

So, I'm getting a little nervous abuot whether I should trade up or try to get another 100k out of her. I've read a lot about sludge problems but mostly in the dakota, not sure if this is the exact engine or not. I've always changed the oil myself but I only do it at 5k miles which is about every 50 days for me. I do however have a pressure washing business and pull a fairly heavy trailer around 70 percent of the time.

I love Dodge Rams, they are tougher than any chevy but I question the lifespan of these engines. I've seen chevy's roll to 300k miles on stock engines but never seen a dodge do it.

So what yall think? Time to trade or not? BTW, its paid for and trade in is only $10k.

Welcome to the forum! Is there any reason why it goes out of alignment? Tell us more about your truck (engine, mods, etc.)

Any pics?

It was torqued down too tight on the trailer when delivered to the dealership. It wore the first set of tires out in 20k miles before I had the chance to get it aligned.

I would keep driving it myself, just start putting some $$$ in the bank for a damn good down payment, the more the better, i put 20 grand down on mine, payments were then very easy to make & i paid it off in 9 months

The sludge problem in the Dakota was with the 5.9L engine, a totally different arrangement than your Hemi.

Man, that's a tough call. I like the idea of saving up for a large down on a new truck when the time comes. But, of course, that's your question...when is it time?

I'd drive it some more...
