Ya , mine comes on before the "measured interval" but i must say, i drive it pretty hard. One time.(literally, one stretch of kms.) I drove more sensably, and it didnt come on till approx 8000 km's. So i think there is some truth to the How you drive it thing. computer knows the rpm's being used , so if your over reving(often i do) you will have to change more frequently. May be wrong, but sure seems that way

The gas pedal reset isnt just for the light. It resets the computer with the light on or off. So if your changing your oil yourself and the light has not come on, do the reset procedure anyway or the computer will not know you changed it. If you dont reset it at the time of your oil change the light will come on calculated by the last time it was reset and your driving habits.

Mine has come on at 3,000 miles everytime. Of course I only have about 9,100 miles on my 09, so it has only had 3 oil changes.

The constant 2500-3000 mile Oil Change most likely mean you have a 2009 that needs the software updated. It shortens the interval during beak-in but some 2009's never reverted to the normal interval. Their is an update available to solve the issue.
