Default Magnaflow or Flowmaster?

I'm looking to install a muffler on my 2010 dodge ram crew cab sport with dual exhaust. What do you guys recommend? What size? What series? Any advice would be awesome!

Between those two, I'd recommend the Magnaflow. Lifetime warranty vs. 3-year warranty. Check YouTube for sound clips for those two exhausts and some other setups. See which one most appeals to you

I prefer the Magnaflow sound, myself. It won't boom you out of the cab but when you get on it, folks know ya got something goin' on.

It's pretty nice at idle and just runnin' down the road.

Your muffler is probably close to 28" long but a shorter muffler will flow better. Most come in 14", 18" & 20" long.

It's best to match the inlet and outlet pipe sizes to match your stock pipes. If it's a bit off, a short reducer will make up the difference.

Is a straight through 3" into a pair of 2.5" outlets, quiet as stock at idle and a little roudy with your foot in it. You can hear the MDS activate/deactivate with it though, not an issue for me but you notice it with this setup.

Have to watch it on some of the Flowmasters. Some of their styles/models are more restrictive than the stock mufflers even. To each his own I guess.

I have been looking at mufflers a little today just because I watched Horsepower TV. I have to say the best mufflers out there are made by Cherry Bomb. The best one I saw was the Vortex made by them. It has the best flow through the muffler and is not as loud as the Glasspack. It actually makes more power than the Glasspack.

I also took a look at the other muffler brands. I would say Gibson is the next in line muffler for flow. The Gibson has very minimal restrictions inside the muffler.

I know most of the guys on here like'em loud and i do also......to a certain extent. But i was looking for something that would not drone and just drive me insane going down the road, i did some research and watched some vids on you tube and this is what i decided on. I just had a guy install a flowmaster 50 series, cat-back, duals and i love it. Not so loud you wake the neighbors and does not drone at all even with mds, but has a very nice deep sound to it when you get on it a little and even at idle. Just some more food for thought, but if you like the real aggresive sound of the 40 series or another then go with it.
