Default Mufflex/ Magnaflow question

I want to use the 24 inch muffler from the mufflex kit. I cant seem to find a part number anywhere I look. Does anyone know which muffler is used and the part number I need so I can purchase one? Thanks, been looking all night with no luck..

honestly if you use all stock pipe and stock resonators and stock tips.. just get the 18 or 14'' but with all stock it is not loud at all inside. When you change the tip size as in length and remove resonators it changes sound making it louder. especially the tips. tips can greately affect the sound. but if all stock get the small on wich i believe is 12198(once again i forgot i am pretty sure this is it). then again you have your own likes and dislikes just a personal opinion from experience.

If your going to buy just the muffler you will more than likely find that the 24 inch muffler isnt as long as the stock muffler and you will have to extend your tailpipes to match up with the new muffler. Go to www.mufflex.com and check out the pictures they have of the 14, 18, and 24 inch mufflex kit and notice the tailpipe extensions on the end of the mufflex kit.It will be much easier I would imagine to just buy the kit ( I cant imagine the muffler alone is THAT much cheaper than the kit price plus the fact you might end up spending more money to piece in tailpipe extensions). Just buy the kit!!

I have the 14 inch mufflex kit on my ram and it was easy as pie to slip off the old big stock muffler and slip on the mufflex...Sounds like a beast too.

There is some good advice here. I went with the 14 but have not put pipes on it yet. Sound is great. Dodgeramhemi09, did you stop at the muffler or put pipes out the back?

Whats the point of going with a full catback on the 09+ hemi rams? Is there anything? Looking at a mufflex as well, and since 09+ already has a 2.5" SS system, I dont see a point at a full catback?

When you buy the kit from mufflex it already comes with the tailpipe extensions to couple up to your existing stock tailpipes. With the cutouts in the rear bumper I would think it would look pretty odd with no pipes in the rear.
