Hey guys, I wish there was enough of the goose left to actually collect up and eat. At least I would have had something out of it. But, he ended up worse off than the mirror did.

The wife (who about pee'd her pants laughing after it happened) said that since I wasn't happy with the extending mirrors, to just suck it up and get a set of the flip-up mirrors if they fit. So, I will be calling the parts guy later today to check it out.

Would your repairs be covered under your comprehensive coverage? I know I have a zero deductible on comp and if it was the windshield it would be replaced free of charge. Just curious if you had checked on that. Good luck getting it fixed.

Yeah, it would be covered under comprehensive, but I really don't want to tempt fate by having too many claims on my plan. Last year it was a windshield, side window and getting rear-ended at a stop light all on my 2006 Dakota.

I just got back from one of the dealership parts department and here is what I found...
I have a DS body style truck. (New 2010 body style vs. 2009)
According to "the book", I can't use the flip-up style set part number 82207298 on my truck. I can use the extending heated power mirror set 82210941 on my truck, but I would prefer the "flip-up" style mirrors. They do carry the extending heated power passenger side mirror part number 55372066AD for $168, so that might just be what I will go with.
