I used a Napa #165 on my 6.1L Super Bee and no problems with that.

I WANTED to go to a 180 degree stat but all the stores dont list a 2011 ram 1500 r/t stat. so i crossed a 2010 ram 1500 and when i pulled mine off it was larger in dia.(2.5") and has a second spring and round plate on the bottom. also the center valve is larger. any one know where i might find one?

Can I ask why a fairly new truck already needs the thermostat replaced?

I live in south florida, I use a lower thermostat in all my vehicles. Summertime its 100+ in the shade, today its 85. Some of the posts I've read are about cooler engine temp, less wear more HP. I have an hour drive in traffic with the A/C. Cooler is better.!?
