Default 2010 Hemi Sport Gear Change...?

I've been thinking about getting some bigger gears put in my Sport. The thing just feels like a complete dog from a stop, pulls great up top around the 3.5k mark, but down low is just terrible.

I don't know what kind of gears I have since it doesn't say on my window sticker. Since it doesn't say anything, I assume its the 3.21's.

The last gear change I had was on a Mustang, and cost about $500... Is this what I could expect for the Dodge? Its 2wd by the way. Any warranty issues I should worry about?

There's a tag on your rear diff. that will tell you the gears you have.

If you didn't specify otherwise, it probably has 3.55 gears. The sport had 3.92's as an available option. Not sure if the 3.21's are even available for the Sport. Either way, the tag should be on the passenger side of the rear axle, viewable from the cab side. Usually can't see it from behind.

Here's a pic of it -

Mine shows 3.92 gears.

Hah, appreciate it fellas, I'll check tom; but am I the only one who feels the rams are sluggish off the line? I mean theres no tire spin or anything. My buddys Titan will spin the tires from a dead stop, granted he does have 4.10s...

One thing to consider with the Rams....TM (Torque Management). Basically it holds back the engine in first gear in an effort to keep the rubber on the tires. Then there's ESP and few other acronyms, that watch for wheel slipage and adjust throttle/brakes as necessary to again help keep the rubber on the tires.
If you just want to burn the tires off, I understand that Super Chip has a tuner that will allow you disable most of the TM system. But if you want to beat your buddy, let him sit there and spin, while you race to the finish line.....Worked for me today....$50 richer, and he had the faster truck.....and I had TM/ESP.

Yea, I've read a few threads where people talked about the torque management. I figured it had to do with saving the trans. I def would want to remove it, but I'll wait untill the tuner guys do a little more betta testing for the 2010's. I also want to make sure I get a tuner that returns the truck to stock without leaving a digital footprint.

As for beating the titan, I don't think i'll have a prob with that, but I still would like some more get up and go off the line

Eh, well, the Hemi isn't known for low end TQ. The 4.7 actually has more TQ than the 5.7 up until ~2500~ rpm. (Dyno sheets posted on Dodges website)

Most Sports have 3.55,,, A 3.92 would help some.

As far as I know, the SC Beta testing is over as 2010's are now supported and the trans option is available for purchase.

Yep, checked today and its 3.55's... I doubt such a small gear change from 3.55 to 3.92 is even worth the cost and/or possibility of warranty issues... guess my next purchase is a tuner. Anyone know which ones can be returned to stock without it being traced by the dealer?
