It should blink the number of the first code, pause, then blink the number of the second code, pause, back to first cycle.

I suspect you have multiple codes. It's damn confusing.

A lot of auto parts stores will scan your PCM for free. They don't offer diagnostics but at least you'll know what you got going on.

There should be an OBD I interface plug somewhere because they have to query the PCM if you get a code. It may be on the computer box itself vs. under the dash.

Sorry but without being there to see it, there's no way I could translate them for ya. Were you able to get any numbers written down at all? Try just writing down the number of blinks you get in order and maybe we can decipher it.

What codes are you getting? Then we can help you interpret them.

12
Battery Disconnect
Direct Battery input to PCM disconnected within last 50 ignition key-on cycles. Normal if battery has been disconnected, otherwise check battery power and ground connections.

32**
EGR Solenoid circuit
Short or open in the EGR solenoid circuit. Check for loose, broken, or shorted wire in the EGR valve wiring and connectors. Possible air fuel ratio imbalance not detected during diagnosis.

55
N/A
End of message code. A DTC 55 is used to end all DTC messages. This code does not show on the DRB tool and indicates a completion of the stored codes on the Malfunction Indicator Lamp (check engine lamp).

Fault codes with ** = Check engine lamp will illuminate when the engine is running if this code was recorded.

Have you done a disconnect on your battery or recently experienced a low or dead battery? If you had a low battery or it went dead, it may be a short at the EGR sensor wiring or the sensor itself.
