Question Swapping External Mirrors

I have a 2010 TRX 2wd with the normal heated mirrors and I would like to change them for the next level mirrors (the heated ones with the turn signals, and puddle lights built in).

I have a funny feeling that it may not be a straight "plug and play" issue where the wiring is already there.

Can anyone confirm this, will I be required to run the extra wires in order to make it work?

Thanks

Tom

Good question! I don't have a 2010 wiring diagram or service manual so I can't help with this at all. Sorry...

Don't feel bad, Michael. I have the diagrams but they don't tell me if it's pre-wired from the factory. If it is, the most you'd have to do is reconfigure the TIPMCGW.

I talked to my service rep and I am having it done. It was supposed to be part of the light group option I asked for, got everything else but the mirrors.

It can be done. the parts had to be ordered, the mirrors and appearently some wiring harnesses that were not there. The parts are all installed and they are now waiting for a return call from the engineering department to find out how to reprogram the computer to recognize the mirrors.
