I run 93 octane on a DSP 91 octane tune, because they only sell 87,89 and 93 here and the truck ran a little funny with the 93 octane tune.

I was always under the impression that unless your situation specifically requires a premium or higher octane fuel (tuner, manufacturer's recommendation, etc.) using a higher octane fuel doesn't serve a purpose...

I don't mean to state the obvious, but FYI...From the Ram Owner's Manual:

4.7 L Engines: These engines are designed to meet all emissions regulations and provide excellent fuel economy and performance when using high quality unleaded “regular”gasoline having an octane rating of 87. The use of premium gasoline is not recommended, as it will not provide any benefit over regular gasoline in these engines.

5.7 L Engines: This engine is designed to meet all emissions regulations and provide satisfactory fuel economy and performance when using high quality unleaded gasoline having an octane range of 87 to 89. The manufacturer recommends the use of 89 octane for optimum performance. The use of premium gasoline is not recommended, as it will not provide any benefit over regular gasoline in these engines.
