I noticed a big diff as well with the 91 oct tune and that is all I use in it. I tried the 93 oct tune for a while but I stick with the 91.

I would not use the 93 oct tune with 91 oct, the truck wont run right. Even though there is an elevation change the fuel does not know that in the truck. Octane is octane man

Ok... I guess all the engines in the high elevation cities (Denver, mile high, they sell 85 everywhere, and everyone runs it) should knock and come apart by 50k miles.....

The air coming into the engine isnt as dense. When the piston compresses the air, theres not as much "air" therefore theres not as much compression created.

Octane is octane, and higher octane is made to resist knock due to compression. Not as much compression, the need for higher octane goes down.

Now, if his tune is custom tailored to his altitude, then hell need to run what its spec'ed for. But alot of the canned tunes create a tune that can be run at lower elevations, where DA is alot less than the upper elevations.

... I asked what elevation you were at COL ;/

Looked it up and you are at about 3500ft. You should easily be able to run a 93 tune w/ 91 octane at that altitude.. I know I wouldnt hesitate.. If you are that worried about it, then just run an 87 tune and 87 octane.

Will you notice a huge difference? Probably not. Id put it at maybe .1-.2 tenths in the 1/4 mile if thats wha tyou are looking for....

^^This

You can download the latest crom files for the Diablo Predator for their site.

For the 2010 5.7L Hemi the latest is the u7137-9r07a.crom

Download here: http://www.diablosport.com/index.php...isplay&pid=152

You'll feel a difference between tunes but gas is really expensive, so for now I'm happy with my modified 87 octane tune.

Good luck!

Turns out my crom file was corrupt on my desktop, so restored original backup to truck, deleted everything from computer & reloaded DSP from diablo site. Everthing loaded up including the 91 tune which was missing. Loaded back to truck & all is well.
Thanks guys.
