Default K&N Install

Installed the K&N system. I really liked the looks of the chrome but the stats gave the non metallic tubing higher HP ratings for some reason so I went with the non metallic.

Nice install. The plastic tube doesn't get as hot as the metal tubes. Heat robs you of horsepower and the cooler the intake is, the better for HP.

MADDOG, thanks for the explanation. Makes a lot of sense. Patriotblue, there is definitely a much deeper sound and loud when you get on it. Hit 110 on a back road and that must be where the limiter is set; the engine just stopped there. No other performance mods except the MagnaFlow exhaust.
