Default Leveling Question

I own an 03 1500 4x4 Quad cab. It already looks mostly level but I know that a leveling kit was never installed, is it something I should do? is it all aesthetics or is there any sort of performance gains from a level kit?

Thanks

Brian

no performance gains, but it's mostly appearances and so you can fit 35" tires easier.

with just a leveling kit, can you fit 35s? I assumed that I would need to lift the whole truck first

You don't need to lift the whole truck, a leveling kit will clear enough room:

Factory 20s for now, I'm investing in some 18" KMC Rockstars eventually.

I think I may level my 07 in the front but I don't see a lot of kits that show 2WD for an 07. What would be the best way to go on leveling? Also since I tow a big trailer on occasion would I need to take the leveling kit off before I tow something since it brings the back end down about 2 inches when I hook up the trailer?

Daystar makes a kit for your truck, I'd look into them, they're a great company. Taking out the spacers every time you need to tow would take a lot of time. Every time you either take them out or put them back in, you would need to have an alignment done afterward. It just seems like a lot to worry about to me. If Bilstein made the adjustable leveling shocks for your model, that would be the way to go. With them you could set them to either 0" of lift or 2" of lift.
