It's funny that you should have had a negative problem with RECON, I had just the oppiset. I ordered a 3rd brake lite for an 09 and didn't catch it until it was inbound. They stopped the package and refunded my money. They still don't have a Clear LED 3rd brake lite for the 09/10.
I did pay on an MC credit card at paypal so if they don't come thru I will go thru MC before my 30 days has elapsted. In fact I will only give Paypal another week.

Eric, I feel for you but, customer service is how you get and keep customers with RECON for instance, I told them I messed up and they jus said it's ok what do you want to do. I asked when they would have the right part in and they couldn't say for sure so I asked for a refund. I had it back in my Paypal the next week.

your problem is 100% with UPS, they dropped the package at a different address than yours
unless the address it was delivered to was an AUTHORIZED address that you had to have agreed to, its 100% on UPS

That is zactly what I told the vender. UPS won't start an investigation into a claim untill the sender files a complaint. I have talked to UPS several times about it now. The guy is just a jerk. Like I said, he could have taken the lead on this and saved everyone a lot of crap. Instead, he decided to be a dick-head about it, I'm just waiting for e-bay to send me that e-mail that asks me to rate this vender as my last dealings with them.

I already have my back-up papers coming from Master Card in case Paypal drags this out. When I explained what happened to them, they said no problem and are sending me the papers to fill out.

It struck me today as I replied to another thread with pretty much the same problems as noted here. Online or telephone purchasing is pretty much a crap shoot. Probably with most any vendor, what is a disaster for me today is a model experience for you tomorrow. And it's all the more reason to buy from our sponsoring vendors. They not only support the forum but they see anything said about them. If it's a fair and valid issue they'll respond - too many people here watching not to.

But I'll still never pay for anything again with PayPal!

Thanks for posting this Dennis. I have a PayPal account as well, but tend to use my credit card for any other purchases because I agree, there is protection there. Some good info here, and sorry to hear you, too, had a bad experience.

I talked to a Rep. at Paypal yesterday and she told me based on what they can see with the tracking number they will rule in favor of the vender. UPS doesn't show all the info for the Tracking like when you call them. Good thing I have my MC papers on the way. I am also, pursuing UPS with a claim. They did say they can investigate this to a point without jerk-heads input.
The only reason I may use Paypal from now on is, because my card or checking acc# are not seen by the vender.

I don't know about you 808 KUMA, but from past experience, when talking to these "customer service reps" type, if I don't get what I want from the person I am talking to, the very next thing I ask is let me speak to a supervisor. They usually either change their tone and do what they can to resolve the issue (funny how their manners come back then, too) or they put me on the phone with someone who can help. I know by now, I would have been up to my ears with the run around, but good luck to ya' there buddy in getting this resolved!
