Default Adding an in dash navigation / backup camera

I just bought my first ram pickup and it has a factory stereo setup and I'd like to add an in dash screen with navigation and a backup camera. Regarding fit I'm a little confused as Crutchfield only shows flip up receivers that fit my vehicle. I'd like to avoid the flip up receivers if possible. I saw this thread the truck setup basically looks the same and this receiver is not a flip up.

Also, it appears that the knobs on the factory stereo curve out into the trim. I'm guessing that I'll have to replace the trim if I go with an in dash system. Does anyone have an idea on what in dash systems will fit my truck?

I have a 2008 Ram Quad Cab 4.7L

Almost any double din head unit with a 7" display screen will fit. The bezel can be swapped out to the unit that fits the stock navigation systems available from MOPAR. You don't have to go with a flip up screen.

As with any other aftermarket radio, you'll need some PacAudio adapters for the system to interface with your stock wiring harness.

So I'd say go crazy researching DD in dash units with 7" screens (Pioneer, Kenwood, Alpine, etc) and pick one that you like for it's features. Once you pick one, then we can determine what wiring harness adapters you'll need.

Do you have an amplified system now? If not consider getting an amp.
