Default Pulled my Airaid intake off my 09

Like it says. Can't believe I'm saying this, but that thing was pretty loud. Maybe I'm getting old? As far as HP goes, I don't have any numbers, but my butt dyno says it helped. I put it on about the same time as my magnaflow, so I can't say which one did the trick.
I pulled it off about a week ago. Gonna wait for the computer to re-learn not having the intake on there and check by mileage/buttdyno again. It definately does not rev as fast (or as loud)
Might sell the intake if I don't miss the extra noise too much, lol.

Ahh man... There's nothing like the smooth rumble of V8 power! You should reaaallly leave it on! I have the intake on mine as well (Air Raid) and put it on before my magnaflow exhaust. I noticed an improvement in miliage as well as HP right off the get go.

The rumble I loved...just on my terms. I hated when I was on the highway and hit the smallest grade and the truck downshifted and sounded like WAR.
I have been thinking of a programmer. I hope that would help with the downshifting. At least thats what I've heard. Any truth to that?

I think yu should keep it on man! That noise the CAI makes you will get used too. I do not even notice mine anymore, just sounds like the truck. Also if you have a muffler on then you already are pretty loud, so why not just be louder/?? haha

I can see where it might be annoying 'kicking in and out' all the time going down the highway,,,,

I have a SC Cortex, but so far, I can say that it really hasn't changed my shift patterns a lot, especially at 'cruising' HWY speeds.

Now, with that being said, there is a 'tranny option' you can download that lets you 'adjust/set' shift points, but I'm not familiar with what exact throttle positions it allows you to make those shift points.

It may be quite a few different throttle positions, it may just be WOT. Again, I do not know the particulars,,,

hmmm...I haven't run into this before. I've always enjoyed the sound and the benefits of a CAI. Maybe a different style, such as a Volant or AFE Stage 1?

I really liked the sound of the intakes on other vehicles I've had. Last was a Jeep JK w an AEM Brute Force intake. That thing sounded pretty sweet (for a V6).
That was was a metal tube and not a plastic one. Not sure how much that would actually change the sound. This one sounds a bit rattly at WOT. I've double and tripled checked and everything was tight. I'm actually starting to dig the sound of my 14 inch magnaflow w stock intake now too.
