Its all good man, didn't think you were bashing...I just think the Nitto's get a bad rep, because people don't know how to set their car or truck up for them. Tire pressure and burnouts have a big impact with the 555r's, I've cut some 1.60 60's with the right setup....and also have some 2.8's with no set up...

Was looking at those on moes last night and seemed the be the closest size. Just not sure regarding the puncture resistence as well as fitment on a 8" width rim.

With that being said, I bought mine from discount tire and I got a 40k mile warranty with them!!!! Time to go back and see WTF is going on with this dang tire wear problem...LOL
I would look into these if i run staggered 18" on the rear and 17" on the front. Just not much there for 17's

Kumho makes a DR thats decent and wont break the bank....since ur gonna eat em up I suggest these. As for the Nitto's Ive heared nothing but bad news about these. And really any Drag tire is going to suck on gravel and in water so dont spend a grip on em if ur not using them as their intended.

I used MT Slicks on my race car and they HOOKED LIKE A MF. LOL I currently have a brand new set of MH with stickers on em still...to bad they wont fit lol.
Umm what about running rear snow tires lol. Poor man DR's :P

I would say get u a used set of snow tires and try em to see if u even like the idea before spending $200 a tire on some new DR's. JMO

If you're looking for good traction and live in AZ look for a good summer only tire. Should have a softer compound and still be safe for the occasional shower, etc. BFG KDW type of thing. That way you won't be way outside of the intended operating conditions for the tire.

I run 275/55/17's Toyo's Proxes ST II and they perform great in all aspects. Just spinning some thoughts on a little better traction on the street if going 488 gears.

4.88's? how tall a tire are you movin too..35's? that's way too much gear.. I did 4.56's awhile back and loved them..until i did serious motor mods, then had to gear down to 4.10's to appreciate the powerband, especially since i'm runnin 30" tires on 17's...

I would agree. That's a lot of gear for a 28-29" tire and this is comin' from a guy that ran 4.56s/28" tire in a Mustang for years as a daily driver. Would be nice for a good punch off the line but probably not completely ideal for an average hop-up on these trucks.

Sticking w/ the 275/60/20 range? Then the 4.88s seem like a good pick.

Cool. I will stick with my 4.10's. Just sad looking at the my 4.88's collecting dust in the garage.

Hey...I'm not sayin' don't use the 4.88s. Just match the tire to 'em properly. Or swap for a set of 4.56s
