Default Programmer Chips for 3.7L

I know performance upgrades are not as popular on the 3.7L but has anyone had any luck finding a tuner/chip for this engine? I know a few companies make one for the 2nd/3rd gen. 3.9L but I haven't had luck with mine.

Thanks,

Omar

The only thing I've seen is a plug in that doesn't really reprogram anything, it just fools the PCM. IMO Jet has a shakey reputation at best and I'm not willing to throw good money after a questionable part when it could be better spent upgrading the intake and exhaust system.

Ya, I saw the JET system. Haven't really heard of them but I'll take your advice into consideration. I just recently installed both an exhaust system and CAI so I'm looking for another performance mod.

Unfortunately for us, not much is out there for the 3.7. If you run across an actual tuner, let me know. The last time I looked, there wasn't anything available, which confuses me because of the large number of Rams, Dakotas, Nitros, and especially Libertys out there that have the 3.7.

Offhand, no. You've already done the two most obvious things. I've even looked for headers for the 3.7 to no avail. What kind of exhaust did you install and what kind of results did you get?

magnaflow 18" cat-back with dual tips. With the CAI and the exhaust I've seen a nice response at take-off and WOT with a better increase at high speed accel. I switched over to 89 and 91 to see if I can see any other responses as well. The sound out of the exhaust is nice as well. Obviously not the HEMI roar but apparently you can hear me from the front of the neighborhood.

just as a heads-up JBA makes a header setup for the 3.7l.
