Default Thinking about changing them up...

Currently I am running some Ultra 18X9 wheels with Cooper Discoverer STT LT325/60RX18 tires.

These were on the truck when I bought them and would not have been my choice had I been looking for tires and wheels.

We've never been able to balance the Coopers and they continue to bounce at highway speeds.

This particular style of Ultra wheels look good but the are a real biatch to clean.

So I am thinking of changing up a bit.

First, the tires. I'm gonna go with a LT285/70RX18 Toyo Open Country A/T, a 35" tall tire that is a bit narrower than what I am running now:

Then, the wheels. I'm seriously thinking about the KMC XD Addict style wheels:

Thoughts?

Sounds like a good combo for what you do with your truck.

I like those Michael, think they would look great on your truck. A little less aggressive a tread pattern than the ones you have now. The Coopers, are they a loud tire?

Thanks for the input, folks.

Yes, they are a noisy tire, Dana. I'm OK with the noise, not so OK with the bouncing!

i have the toyo open country a/t on my truck right now 325/60/18 and they bounce a bit at highway speeds as well. i think it might be from the width of the tires? not sure but the dealership keeps telling me that the size is why they keep getting out of balance. so i hope for you that the 285's wont do it.

I'm hoping so too. Can't keep these Cooper 325's from bouncing. I think they just aren't the best quality tire.
