entierly possible, the SRT-10s are heavy trucks, even with 500hp, you're still only looking at 400-425RWHP. A SRT8 car can beat an SRT10 truck most days.

I read somewhere that a Jeep, i believe it was a Grand Cherokee, would be coming out with a 500 HP engine in 2011
i just looked for that article again & can't find it, all i find is the 5.7 Hemi, that won't have a Hemi badge on the side. Instead it will read MDS V-8

I found it!!

Jeep has announced their highly anticipated 2011 Jeep Cherokee STR8 will have over 500 horsepower under the hood. This comes as no surprise as the SRT8 engine variant was known at one point to be the fastest (at least domestic) engine for Jeep vehicles. In fact, the Cherokee was once touted as the fasted SUV on the planet.

the jeep you speak of will have the 6.4 hemi, along will all srt models, rumor is 500, but really don't see it if they are wanting to compete with ford and chevy I see higher numbers for the 6.4 when its released.

Speculation at the Chrysler training center instructors and most everything I've read is saying 450-500 HP but no official rating has yet been released. One interesting footnote on the SRT-8 Grand is that the diffs are open on the front and rear. Why? Simple - it's all wheel drive.

armygr....no disrespect but, what you said makes zero since a 2 door stock srt-10 will bend over 90 percent of anything out there to corvettes and mustang and ANY truck soooo slow as shit...drive one and then tell me other wise

Granted the pre-2004 models have the older iron block 8.0L engine whereas the '04-'06 have the aluminum 8.3L and would be a bit slower.
