I went to the auto show several years back, they had a concept vehicle in the Chrysler section, it was suppose to be a surfer mini van, called the PT Cruiser, it was a bit longer & had a larger rear sliding door on the right side & the tailgate window was done differently than what the final product came out as. i thought that would be a cool beach cruiser because of the easy ways to load the surf boards & still carry several people
too bad they didn't up the CCs & put a turbo on it, they are all over the beach communities, but, hardly any up in the hills
at least the engine lives on

They should put the PT on a larger platform with a v6 or v8 and style it to look like the 1930's Chrysler Airflow. If that happens I'll buy one immediately!!!!!!!!!!1

I had 3 neons, hand me downs, hated them to bits, but they started 90% of the time. The PT was I think trying to cash in on the new/old craze started by the new VW Beetle.

I rode in a friend's PT once about ten years ago. I was less than impressed.... I said nothing of course. That was when I was first starting to fall in love with Dodge trucks. (My first one was a white 1986 D-150 with a 318.)

I bought a 99 neon R/T brand new and it has been the best vehicle I have ever owned (and there have been a lot of them) Currently 246k, drive it 25k plus a year and it has never let me down...ever....still on the factory clutch. I even drove it 40 miles air cooled because the radiator took a dump...never overheated even with no antifreeze. BEST VEHICLE ever...IMO.

arent the pt cruiser and neon on the same frame and also some of the most unsafe vehicles on the road ..crash wise lol. The pt was a cool little car tho when it first came out i think it just blended in among the civics neons and vibes once they became popular.
