Default 1996 2500 Trans problem

Hi all, I am having a problem with my transmission in my 96 3/4 ton ram with a V10 . I am not sure which transmission I have. The truck runs fine shifts fine no check engine light etc but sometimes when I am on the hiway it is like it's kicking in and out of overdrive or like the converter is locking and unlocking. It just started this about a week or so ago and it does not always do it. I am hoping someone can point me in the right direction to start checking things. Thanks in advance for any help.

Default

Provided the transmission fluid is in shape, it's possible that the throttle position sensor is throwing off some noise, operating erratically.
Here's a link to something to get you thinking:

Worked for me.
The V-10 and Cummins transmissions are very close to the same. There is a huge amount of info on the diesel websites. Good luck.
