Default Hello, New to Dodge - converted from Chevy

Hello all. Seems like a great place. I just bought a new 2010 Sport 4x4 Crew cab today. My last 5 trucks have been Chevy - I used to lease but times have changed. Chevy could not come up with a good deal for me and Dodge did. I am brand new to Dodges so I might ask silly questions.

The sport is Mineral Gray crew cab, Mopar Steps, 430 6.4 Uconnect radio etc etc etc. I wanted a big horn as I like the Chrome Bumpers and outer grill, but could not find one that had what I wanted on it and got a great deal on this one so I hope that the Painted Bumpers and Grills grow on me. The back is bigger than the Chevy so that is good and the Hemi is a nice under the hood bonus. It also has the Dual Exhaust, not sure that is a standard with the sports package or not, but it makes the truck sound great. I really wanted the Navigation system, but they only had them in the Larmie and that was out of my budget range.

Hope I did not bore anyone and look forward to meeting you guys and learning all about my new Dodge.

Welcome to the forum and finally seeing the light.

Don't worry about the Nav system, its a POS in my opinion. Put some pics of your Dodge when you get a chance.

As for the painted parts, they can be changed.

Hello and welcome to the forum, glad to have you join us here! Congrats on your RAM, nice HEMI upgrade! Don't tell anyone, but I used to like Chevy myself, but once I got my '81 Ram, it was over from there, lol! Any pics of your truck? We'd love to see it! Are you planning any mods for it? I like the color matched bumpers myself, but was a bit budget starved also haha, but my ST or Solid Truck works for me! Lots of great people and info here, so feel free to look around and join the conversation! Any help you need, just ask and I hope you enjoy the board!

thanks guys, it was dark when I finally got home from the lot, I do have a quick snap from my iphone that I took, but it does not do the truck justice IMHO. I plan on taking some soon the way they should be .

And yes the parts can be changed, call me old fashioned, but I would have a hard time putting more money in to a brand new truck that I just bought - not sure how much those parts are but probably $1500 I would think? Maybe it will grow on me.

The Nav - I had heard that it did not do so well, and my iphone Navigon works awesome so if I get a good mount I should be okay. I also thought about getting a Alpine unit to replace the one that came with it - but I am undecided on that.

Anyways - thank you for the warm welcome - I hope to learn everything that I can and what I can do to make my Hemi better!

Here is the quick snap from my iphone - like I said does not do the car justice, I was out getting it filled up - had not even been to the detailer to prep it for me

Thank you Brian. I am doing a search now - I know that the Tint on the back/sides is 20%, I always do limo tint (5% Film) all around as I have a sensitivity to light and prescription for it. I am trying to figure out what film to put over that, I am afraid if I put the Limo over it I wont be able to see out at night from it.

The other thing I am doing right off the bat is LineX bed liner.

Seems to me a good tinting place can remove the old tint and do it right and then tint it to what you need.

The bed liner, are you talking drop in or spray in? Drop ins are not good for the truck. They trap water and all kinds of stuff under them. I have a Rhino spray in that is non-slip. Cost a little more than the drop in, but well worth it.
